Naomi

Naomi’s background is in dance. She trained at the Royal Ballet School and danced professionally with the Royal Ballet Company for 5 years before retiring early because of injury. She came to yoga in her search for physical rehabilitation and after witnessing first hand its remarkable benefits decided to make it her career. She has taught all around the world and is now a much-loved teacher in London, known for her supportive, knowledgeable and intuitive approach.

Naomi has trained and studied with some incredible teachers along her journey so far and continues to take inspiration from all sources, disciplines and techniques. Naomi has completed 400hrs with the yoga alliance studying Pranayama, meditation, Yoga Philosophy, anatomy, Hatha, Astanga and Vinyasa yoga. She is also a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher and Bikram yoga instructor. She is currently teaching at homes, studios, theatres, and work places around London.

Naomi’s love of dance brings to her teaching a deep insight into the workings of the body, alignment and the beauty of movement. Her philosophy is that everything is in yoga and yoga is in everything.  What you practice on your mat can and will serve you all day, everyday. Yoga should be approached with lightness, kindness, a sense of ease and humour!

Naomi’s classes are dynamic flow classes. They are tailored to enhance and nurture the abilities of  all, whether a seasoned practitioner or a total beginner these challenging classes are open to all. The postures are appreciated fully when truly felt so Naomi’s classes are about getting out of the thinking mind. When we allow our body to respond we can truly experience the calming, grounding experience of the practice, An antidote to busy London lives. She teaches with knowledge and compassion, filling her classes with warmth and creativity, drawing on her experience to teach the gift of yoga.
